このコンテンツについて
Purpose has and continues to be an abstract subject which many have classed as an unattainable fantasy, far removed from the realities of life. The idea that our lives have meaning and unique paths which need to be discovered is off-putting for some, and a major source of inconvenience for others.
For those who agree that purpose is God-given, there has been a genuine struggle to apply the spiritual directives of God to the physical nature of man - in a practical, digestible, and applicable manner.
After four years of thorough research, I discovered certain principles and practices which helped me to gain clarity, focus, and results. I realised that there are certain indicators which if observed more closely, can reveal clues that God places in and around the lives of every human being.
I am confident that after listening to this book, you will:
- Gain more focus, direction, and clarity in life.
- Be able to practically identify what you’re good at, so that you can deliver results from your place of strength every time.
- Acquire insight about the people you've been called to (with a step-by-step process of how to help them).
- Understand how to employ your skills, talents, and aptitudes, to provide more value to yourself and others (through entrepreneurial efforts or side projects).
- Understand how to find fulfilment in and through your work. ie, experience fulfilment whilst you pay the bills.
- Learn how to discern 'start' and 'stop' periods for each phase of your life
- Gain insight on how to deal with the burden of people's thoughts and expectations
- Understand how to better navigate the phase after achieving personal successes; so that the good you do lives on after you, and so that life is always engaging.
Abstract:
The answers to life’s most perplexing questions are not found in asking “Why?”, they are found when we understand “What?”; “To what end? What was the purpose of that?; What am I to do with all that is presented before me?”.
Utilising the game of chess as a microcosm for life, the rules connote that pawns can only advance one square at a time (after the first move). During the game both players are focused on the best strategy to win.
Applying this back to our lives, when we get bogged down with WHY the pawn can’t do anything more, as opposed to WHAT it can do, we hinder ourselves from realising, appreciating, then capitalising upon the strength(s) that we possess ie, attributes, talents, gifts, and skills.
You might not always understand why, but with what you have, you can determine how well you finish.
Whenever a pawn reaches the opponent’s end of the board, it qualifies itself to be transformed into any other piece it so wishes to be. Irrespective of its original positioning on the board, a pawn’s final outcome is dependent on what needed to be done, not why. Regardless of where the pawn starts, what really matters is where it ends up and how instrumental it proves to be in achieving the end result.
As human beings, our choices far outweigh that of a pawn in a chess game, but similar to a pawn, we may not choose or thoroughly understand our origins or backgrounds, but we can determine how and where we end up.
I challenge you to look deep within yourself during each stage of this book, so you can deliberately administer the principles as they will apply to you.
