The "Afternoon Night Table Series" at the 92nd Street Y is a favorite for literary buffs. The series has hosted Ann Beattie, E.L. Doctorow, and Gary Trudeau, among other great writers. In this interview from 2008, journalist and author Roger Rosenblatt interviews Alice McDermott, winner of both an American Book Award and a National Book Award for Fiction.
