The Celtics avoided losing their 2nd straight game with a (139-114) win over the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY Wednesday night. Jayson Tatum just missed out on his 1st Triple Double of the season going for 36 Points, 10 Assists & 8 Rebounds. Jaylen Brown scored 24 and had 12 Boards. Payton Pritchard hit 5 3's, scored 23 and also had 8 Assists and 6 Rebounds. The Celtics trailed by 13 in the 1st Quarter and led by as many as 30 in the 4th Quarter. ----- After 1: The Celtics trailed by as many as 13 in the 1st Quarter but closed out on an 11-3 run and trailed by just 2 after the 1st 12 Minutes. Jason Tatum was 5-for-7 from the field in the 1st Quarter and led the Celtics with 13 points. The Celtics hit 5 3's in the 1st Quarter and Sam Hauser knocked down a pair of 3's. ----- 1st Lead of the Game: The Celtics took their 1st lead of the game in the opening 2 minutes of the 2nd Quarter. Hauser hit on a 3 to give the Celtics a 37-36 advantage. Nets then went on a 6-0 run. Later in the Quarter, Payton Pritchard hit on a 3 to give the Celtics a 5-point advantage, their largest lead of the game to that point. Celtics closed out the 2nd Quarter on a 10-2 run and led 65-60 at the Half. ----- Strong Start to 3rd: The Celtics got a 3 from Derrick White and a pair of 3's from Jayson Tatum early in the 3rd to go up 12 points, 80-68. Celtics hit7 3's for the Quarter and led by as many as 17 in the Quarter and led 103-89 after 3. Celtics got to 90 points with 5:46 to go in the 3rd and got to 100 points for the night on a basket from Tatum with 1:05 to go in 3rd. -----From Downtown: Celtics hit 5 3's in each of the 1st 2 Quarters, 7 in the 3rd and 5 more in the 4th. Celtics finished with 22 made 3-pointers and have hit 20 or more 3's in a game for the 3rd time this season.----- What's Next?: After playing back-to-back nights, the Celtics are off the next 2 nights. The Celtics host the Raptors Saturday night and are home next Tuesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
