“Prosperity and Adversity” – Ecclesiastes 7:13–14 (ESV)
How do we respond to both blessings and burdens? In today’s devotion, Pastor Balla reflects on Solomon’s wisdom: “Consider the work of God… God has made the one as well as the other.” Through both prosperity and adversity, God is at work—shaping, refining, and teaching us to trust not in circumstances but in Christ.
Prosperity calls for joyful thanksgiving; adversity calls for humble reflection. Both are under God’s sovereign hand. We may not understand the “crooked” paths, but we know the One who walks with us.
