Jake Timber encounters a preacher-cum-bounty hunter who has killed the wanted man he was trailing. After a night of quietly killing several of the sheriff's men, Timber and the preacher find a couple of witnesses and some banking records that serve to convince the townsfolk to back Timber and the preacher against the sheriff. In the final showdown, Timber and the preacher lure the sheriff to the town's main square.
