Everyone experiences "disruptions" in their lifetime. Learning to navigate the trials with peace and joy requires caring conversations. For Dan and Nancy, disruption appeared as a doctor spoke, "Stage IV colon cancer." From that moment on, it was one difficult conversation after another. While Nancy and Dan share how they navigated these difficult conversations, they focus on helping the reader(s) enter into conversations that will help them navigate their own disruption.
Caring Conversations provides some uncomfortable but essential questions to help start your own caring conversations. While everyone's answers will differ, many questions remain the same. Our goal is not to provide answers but to give you the questions that will help people be prepared for any disruption that may come their way. Caring Conversations is for those who find themselves in the midst of disruption AND those who want to be prepared to navigate all seasons of life well. There are things you can do today that will enable you to walk a season of disruption (whatever the cause) with peace and hope. Having conversations before a season of crisis is the healthiest thing you can do.
Caring Conversations will help get you started. Caring Conversations draws upon wisdom from a real estate agent, funeral director, lawyer, financial planner, grief expert, community nurse, and others to provide guidance in critical areas that need to be addressed. Each person shares their expertise and helps us understand what we can do in times of calm and peace to prepare for seasons of disruption. Caring Conversations draws upon wisdom from a real estate agent, funeral director, lawyer, financial planner, grief expert, community nurse, and others to provide guidance in critical areas that need to be addressed.
