あらすじ・解説
When we say the world needs healing we are talking in a more abstract form. Because the reality is, the world is made up of people and it's the people who needs healing and love. No one is an island and no one should stand alone. We can't be rigid when there is so much pain and suffering in this world. People need to be comforted; they need to know that there is no reason that they should go it alone. People need to know that there are others in this world who cares for them if those people are strangers. Every fool knows the ocean contains a drop of water. It takes a wise person to understand that a drop of water also contains the ocean.
Empathy is the ability to feel the emotions or energy of other people. While everyone has the ability to feel other people, some are born a lot more sensitive than others. Empathy relies on the intelligence of the heart, teaches us mindfulness, and an understanding of the intricate connection we have to all living beings.
Each time you respond to your intuitive empathic sense, you are reaching out to another person and sending a message that you care. What do you say to yourself when you do or say something you regret? Do you give yourself a hard time, criticize and berate yourself and promise you will never do it again - until you do?
Empathy allows us to re-perceive our world in a new, fresh way and move on. By move on I do not mean forget, repress, leave behind, but rather, to find meaning, to remember the specialness of what we are, to be with ourselves in a way that engenders growth rather than self-hatred or self-forgetting.
Learn how to get beyond this pattern and heal yourself and any other person.
