Barney and Hattie Frank are 12-year-old twins who play football together in the school team. The team are trying to win the County Cup. Hattie is the better player but Barney thinks he can see where the school team is going wrong. So, when a TV talent show is looking for a new manager to help a failing Premiership team to start scoring again, Barney’s sure he knows the answer. Maybe, to demonstrate his skills, he could train Hattie to be a top goal scorer. Secretly he enters the show. If only he could win, wouldn’t that prove that he knows all about football, even if he’s not the best player.

Twelve-year-old Barney Frank and his twin sister, Hattie, are soccer (here called "football") fans-spectators of professional games and players for their school team. Listeners will enjoy hearing about the team and the family's home, which is shared with Grandpa Barney, Scott's best creation.
"Young Barney enters a contest without divulging his age to coach a professional football team for a charity event. Hearing the two Barneys join ranks in their hopes to win the contest is thrilling. The televised competition and school matches are realistic and infectious. The family's relationships sound genuine, with the twins competing but uniting when needed.
