このコンテンツについて
A first person epic poem of Odysseus' life and journey. This poem has all the twists and turns that one might expect from the teller of the tale...which is in this case Odysseus himself. The poem starts with Odysseus chiding his unnamed summoner, thus narrating his life, starting with his childhood and ending with his ultimate triumph at the death of the suitors. However, Odysseus has an agenda of his own and attempts to turn the tables on his foe.
Written mostly in the high minded epic style of the poets of old, with the occasional banal insertion this poem brings back a genre rarely seen in this day and age. Minor stage directions help it feel more like the ancient Greek plays that inspired it. It comes in two acts, with the first act ending at the traditional breaking point at the end of the Iliad.
The poem is original and does not take directly or indirectly from any of Homer's work, rather uses his story structure and the traditional myth of the character as inspiration for the framework. We hope you will enjoy it.
