Kalarekhalu is a sociology-autobiographical novel based on the Telangana struggle against the imperialist regime.

The novel is unique in its picturization of the struggle of suppressed humanity.

The author has successfully captured the sentiments of populace in the throes of liberating themselves.

The novel adds magnificently to Indian fiction in Telugu.

Kalarekhalu depicts the social, political and cultural history of Telangana (the northern region of Andhra Pradesh) from 1956 to 1994.

This novel won the Central Sahitya Akademi Award for year 2004.
