While in town, Meriamon falls for one of Alexander's soldiers, though circumstances keep them apart. John McLain lends gravity to Tarr's imaginative prose. His deep voice paints this old world, full of passion, magic, prophecy, and power. Alexander the Great fans with a penchant for fanciful and romantic plotting will enjoy this story about a strong female heroine.
