Il filosofo, retore e letterato Luciano di Samosata (120-180 d.C.) è una delle figure più enigmatiche dell’antichità. Considerato da molti il vero inventore della fantascienza, ha reso la sua immaginazione protagonista della sua stessa vita. Questa non è una biografia. Questa è l'unica, vera, possibile autobiografia (ovviamente scritta da un altro) di colui la cui identità si è disciolta nell'immaginazione, l'antidoto all'oblio della dimenticanza – l'abisso di oggi, l'oblio di sé nel simultaneo, cieco, immemore presente.
The philosopher, orator and writer Lucian of Samosata (120-180 AD) is one of the most enigmatic figures of antiquity. Considered by many to be the true inventor of science fiction, his imagination has made the protagonist of his own life. This is not a biography. This is the only real, possible autobiography (written by another, of course) of the person whose identity is dissolved in the imagination, the only antidote to the oblivion of forgetfulness.
