このコンテンツについて
This book is about the new weight loss medications, the incretins, and their role in weight loss. Weight loss starts with not getting fat to begin with. About 40% of the adults in the countries eating the modern Western diet are obese, as are about 30% of the kids.
You are fat because of your diet. For thousands of years there was no epidemic of obesity. Now there is. If your family is fat, and your kids are fat, it is not genetic. You all are eating the wrong diet. You develop insulin resistance, and subsequently get obese. Eventually you get prediabetes, and finally type 2 diabetes.
There are a few practical weight loss diets: The Incretin diet, the keto diet, bariatric surgery diet, and therapeutic fasting. The best approach is to not get fat to begin with. If you are obese, incretins will work on almost all of you. They are expensive, and you may not be able to stop taking them without getting fat again. No matter what diet you go on to lose weight, after you have lost the weight you must go on a different diet to keep from gaining the weight back. If you go back to your previous diet, you will get fat again.
For eat of the weight loss diets, there is a different diet you go onto after losing weight.
Incretins make you lose fat, prevent progression of prediabetes, help to treat type 2 diabetes, lower you LDL, raise your HDL, lower your CRP, lower your calcium score, lower your hypertension, and may help prevent Alzheimer's disease and dementia. Some people will need to remain on them, others will change their diet an may not need them any longer.
I will explain to you how incretins work.
To understand this you will need to know how fasting works. Diets usually fail because you get hungry. Incretins, fasting, keto, and bariatric surgery work because they addresses this issue. You need to know why you are getting hungry and what you can do about it.
