Both sides take a step back to regroup, after a desperate battle over one system leaves the Combined States and the New Russian Confederacy reeling from heavy losses.

Utilizing the might of their allies, the Combined States push for control over systems that would cut the NRC’s supply lines and force them to sue for peace.

Now a fledgling member of the elite Special Operations Group, Sergeant Mike Barton finds himself attached to Odin Nine-Five for a mission to shatter the food supply lines of their enemies in the outer reaches.

The third novel in a series which I hope has more? Set in the future through the eyes of a special forces operator. The narrator is amazing drawing you into a complex mind set that is embedded in realistic language, actions and thinking of the military settings. It is very descriptive of combat which will be very familiar to combat veterans different weapons but taking the reader into the darker side of humanity and the evil that is often seen in war. It’s a cracking series . Characters are believable and the suggestion that the alien bio weapon is actually a life force gives a whole new level to the possible twists of the plot. It may be too violent for some peoples tastes however, many service members will identify with the flow of events.
Many strands of philosophical wisdom also flow through the narrative ,perhaps reflecting too clearly the nature of humanity doesn’t change over time.

Out standing realistic story.
