At 18 years of age, I pledged my "I do" and believed that from that moment on I would live happily ever after. Coming from a broken family, I now was the bride of a successful and noted Israeli journalist, a man who had his finger tips on the pulse of the world... who now chose to love and cherish me! The following days of my life were an eye opener.... Reality hit, and I was faced with the facts of life, trying to prove my worth to him and to society. Right and wrong, good and bad, love and hate, shame and blame, I was determined to make a sense of it all.
Only six years later, as life took many surprising turns, he left me a "love letter" and committed suicide. I suddenly became the woman whose husband killed himself.
