このコンテンツについて
This book includes key presidential speeches on the exploration of space from President Kennedy to President Trump. It includes the fascinating speech that Nixon had written, and subsequently recorded, but fortunately never delivered. The speech was in the event that the Apollo 11 mission did not succeed. Others include Kennedy's bold 1961 speech setting out the goal of sending a man to the moon, which was then achieved within the decade.
Most presidents have given addresses on and shaped the exploration of space during their time in office, and this volume examines the progress and setbacks of those efforts. This collection includes eight speeches across seven administrations from Kennedy to Trump as remarks are made on key initiatives related to space and its exploration.
This set of speeches with commentary provides a detailed look at the evolution of space exploration and activity from the lens of the president. All speeches include introductory and concluding remarks from Matthew Ross as well as introductory and concluding commentary for the set as a whole.
