But as John gets deeper into his investigation, the circumstances of his environment grow dark and dangerous, threatening his life as well as the people in the horse racing community. David Tredinnick's gregarious accent has a deep timbre that gives John Punter a robust charm, turning him into a generous and good-hearted everyman who is easy to root for.
