This time the helicopter was saving Breeze's life instead of trying to kill him. A life flight off the beach on Cayo Costa to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa was Kim's leap of faith that maybe "shit would work out" for them. Was she too late? From a medical mission that Breeze would experience in an almost comatose state, to a new mission involving a new setting in the Florida Keys while working on recovery, and Kim’s own mission of transitioning from North Carolina, Breeze is reborn and helping to solve a horrible murder of a Federal agent.

Abandoned in a floating Tiki Hut that Breeze and his friend's Irish Doodle spot drifting by late one evening, Breeze finds thirty-two-year-old Louise Guchereau's decaying corpse. For a guy who has come back from the throws of death, how does he help avenge this girl's death in a way that doesn't drag him back into his old life?

Breeze has been given a second chance and its purpose is unknown to him. ReBorn Breeze is on a mission on Cudjoe Key until he can return to the peace of Pelican Bay with the two ladies in his life, Miss Kim, and Miss Leap of Faith.
