The people of the Mistyk Castle are in danger from a world out of balance. The magic that pacifies the Theryal Forest is weakening. Valthos, the dragon that keeps the magic, is growing old. Among the people is one circumstantial hero who is struggling to uncover his origins. Arteim, taken from the meadow along with Clarielle, is that hero. He is torn between finding his family and keeping his promise to Clarielle to become the Watcher of the Wild. Together, they sacrifice what they must to save the land of the Mistyk Castle.
