このコンテンツについて
We are delighted to present this audio production of The Amazing Adventures of Melissa Bee. As you listen, we invite you to read along with our award-winning illustrated book, which is a gold medal winner in the Moonbeam Children's Book Awards, a gold medal winner in the Best Book Awards for Children's Educational, and a gold medal winner in The Wishing Shelf Book Awards, among others.
Welcome to the magical world of bees!
Melissa, a newborn bee, explores her cozy home and learns about the hive with her sisters, brothers, and their beloved queen. Everyone does their part with love in oneness. When she is old enough, Melissa summons her courage and ventures out into the big world, dancing with flowers and making new friends as she revels in pollen collection for her family. When the hive becomes too crowded, the queen honors Melissa by asking her to be a scout to help find a new home.
While following Melissa's adventures, listeners begin to understand how bees cooperate and co-create, care for babies and the queen, find nectar and pollen, communicate, make honey, and protect themselves. This book richly weaves story and songs into a tapestry of joy, wonder, and appreciation for the ancient lineage and loving service of the honey bees as they nurture, honor, and celebrate life.
Narration by the author, Aimee Lissantheia. Audio Production by Mark Sly Frame Drumming and Vocals by Miranda Rondeau. Flutes by Sunny SolWind. Bee Songs by Aimee Lissantheia and Lisa LaBella. Introduction and closing by Lisa LaBella. Cover art by Tim Lukowiak.
Honey bee hums by the bee hives on Aimee's land. With abundant appreciation to all who supported the creation of the original story, and bountiful blessings for the bees.
