このコンテンツについて
The Texas Rangers are not just a baseball team - they’re a highly selective, professionalized law enforcement unit with the goal of investigating major crimes and promoting law and order in the state of Texas. But they haven’t always been as selective or as professionalized.
Early Texas Rangers were men who gathered together with their own horses and handguns, ready to defend their territory and their towns from perceived threats. When the threat was eliminated, the pseudo-militia disbanded, but the spirit of the Rangers remained.
This concept endured the ebb and flow of political attitudes, civil war, and constant crime. Through it all, the Rangers learned to alter methods and protocols to address the ever-changing threats faced by the people of Texas, from border incursions, to professional criminals, drug deals, labor strikes, and angry pro-segregation mobs. Since their inception, the Texas Ranger division has served as a unique defense force for the state of Texas, adapting their methods to the context and environment, while maintaining the constant mission of protecting and defending the people and institutions of Texas.
