このコンテンツについて
The foreword was written by a professor at Vanderbilt University. He also provided a blurb: "The book has the potential to be the most influential work on the subject of mental illness in a century".
I was executive director for a nonprofit for those with mental illness, I gave speeches from Washington DC to Berkeley. People told me to write a book, so I did. It was about 20 pages. Basically, it was on of my speeches. I decided I didn't know enough to write a book and to take a year to do some research. That research extended over four years. I self-published it five months before the advent of Kindle. I updated it, added about 80 pages and published a second edition in January of 2019. A nephew with a graduate degree from Yale who used to teach English said parts of it were literary. However, being manic depressive, the writing was done over a long period under different moods. It being a dark subject, I even included a bit of humor on occasion. As the subtitle states, this audiobook is based on real science and research, not untutored guesses.
