あらすじ・解説
The Most High's nature is essentially that of a consuming fire, according to the scriptures. Right from the start, the listener will visit the scriptures as the true nature of Yahuah is shown. In Exodus 13:21, for example, it says, "And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:" Fire is very intense; frighting on the one hand and very attractive on the other. People are drawn to fire. But why is the Most High compared to fire in the scriptures?
In Genesis 15, he appears as a blazing lamp, and in Exodus 13, he appeared as a burning bush. Exodus 19:24 Yahuah on Mount Sinai appeared as a consuming fire; devouring fire. Also, in Exodus 40 by day, a pillar of a cloud of smoke and by night, a pillar of fire over the tabernacle. Why fire? Look at Leviticus 9 and the beginning of Leviticus 10, Yahuah consumes the sacrifices with fire. He also consumes Arron's disobedient sons with fire.
Then in Deuteronomy 4:24 Yahuah is actually called the devouring fire/consuming fire and that is also quoted in Hebrews 12:29. Let us take a quick look at this verse starting a verse 28-29. It says, "Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:" Verse 29, "For our God is a consuming fire." The same picture of Yahuah in the New Testament. "For our Yahuah is a consuming fire." Why this association with Fire? In Judges, Yahuah appears in a fire as the fire of sacrifices, in 1 Kings 18, Elijah prays, "Let the Yahuah that answers by fire be Yah." It is over and over. In Ezekiel, the first chapter Yahuah appears, and these chariots of fire that are there and in Ezekiel 8 the Angel of the Most High is on fire as he comes out of the presence of the Elohim that is on fire. In Daniel 7, there is a river of fire that goes out from before the Most High.
Malachi 3 Yahuah is likened to a refiner's fire. John the Baptist speaks of the Holy Spirit and fire. In Matthew the third chapter, it speaks of baptism with fire; as well as Luke 12. Yahuah says "I have come to bring fire on the Earth." 2 Thessalonians 1, "He comes in flaming fire." In Revelation 4, there are seven Spirits; the seven fold Spirit, before Yahuah is represented by seven flames. Why? There are several things about fire. One, it speaks of purity - it speaks of the refining away of sin; another thing about fire, it speaks of the passion of YAHUAH's love and purpose. Still another thing about fire is it spreads and multiplies; and whatever you put into a fire - for example, a log - becomes fire. And that is why the Prophet Jeremiah spoke with the word, but he tried to hold it back. "I am not going to speak, it is too rough. He said the word was in his heart like a fire shut up in his bones." I encourage you to know Yahuah as a consuming fire, a refiners fire. It is terrible on the flesh; it is wonderful for the spirit, and we are a nation of that spirit.
