このコンテンツについて
There are many things regarding the science of this world that are as yet undiscovered. Perhaps, the most important is the mystery that is gravity and its relationship to living beings. To date, we do not know the full origin of gravity, how we organize within gravity, and how we interact with it on a mature and immature level. These unknowns are the primary cause for concern when discussing the future reality that is space travel and interplanetary colonization.
Michelle M. Turner, author of You Can’t Get to Mars Without Me!: The Rules of Gravity, has been studying the human body through the lens of special needs (autism, TBIs, MS, etc.) to professional athletes since 2009. In 2014, when she discovered the similarities in functionality between astronauts returning from space and individuals with special needs, this is when she knew she had discovered something important about gravity.
When listening to the recording The Inexplicable Universe: Unsolved Mysteries, a six-part lecture series from The Great Courses by Neil deGrass Tyson in 2012, she heard him say "No one has put physics to the human body." Then, after reading The Ascent of Gravity: The Quest to Understand the Force That Explains Everything by Marcus Chown in 2019, she spouted off to herself the first 20 theories of this book and then recently added the 21st theory of gravity. She had discovered how to put physics to the human body.
As she tried to find research on what she knew about gravity, she realized that no one else knew what she knew. It took more than a year to put the book together, but now it's complete. In her new book You Can’t Get to Mars Without Me!, Ms. Turner explores with you 21 new theories of gravity and their applications to you on Earth and to the astronauts in space. Listening to this book will make you question everything you thought you knew about gravity; of how living beings interact with or succumb to gravity. This is the manual you need to get to Mars!
