"ഡ്രൈവിങ് ലൈസന്‍സൊക്കെ എടുത്ത് സ്വന്തം ഐ 10 ഓടിക്കുന്ന സമയം. കൂടെയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന കസിന്‍ വണ്ടി ഓടിച്ചുനോക്കട്ടെ എന്നുപറഞ്ഞു. അവള്‍ വണ്ടിയെടുത്ത് ആക്‌സിലറേറ്ററില്‍ ആഞ്ഞു ചവിട്ടി, പിന്നൊരു പോക്കായിരുന്നു. നേരെ പോയത് ഒരു പറമ്പിലെ കുഴിയിലേക്ക്. മനുഷ്യരെക്കൊണ്ടൊന്നും ഈ വണ്ടി പുറത്തെടുക്കാന്‍ പറ്റില്ല, അതിനു ക്രെയിന്‍ വേണമെന്ന് ലോറിക്കാരന്‍ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോഴാണ് ആ അപകടത്തിന്റെ ഇന്റന്‍സിറ്റി മനസ്സിലായത്.’’ ഇന്നും അതാലോചിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ നടിയും നര്‍ത്തകിയുമായ സ്വാസികയ്ക്ക് ഹൃദയമിടിപ്പ് കൂടും. ആ അപകടത്തിനു മുന്‍പോ ശേഷമോ അതുപോലൊന്ന് ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല.
