Everyone has their own peaks to overcome!
    2024/11/21

In this episode, we’re joined by our friend Trenley from Tibet, who once climbed a mountain over 6,600 meters high. That climb, while unforgettable, left him with a touch of regret. During this journey, Trenley wasn’t just a climber; he also took on the role of a guide. Together, we explore the relationships people develop with nature, with themselves, and with others while undertaking high-stakes, extreme activities like peak climbing.

This episode marks the end of the first season of 杂务间 (The Storage Room). Our first season doesn’t feature polished editing, perfect topics, or well-honed interviewing skills. This is a season we crafted with sincerity and a bit of awkwardness. There were moments in this season, too, that left us feeling bittersweet. Sometimes, reaching the summit—or the journey to a summit—is filled with countless retreats, breakdowns, exhilarating highs, and perhaps, regrets in those final hundred meters.

We extend heartfelt thanks to all the guests who participated in our program. Our show operates with zero budget and relies entirely on passion. Thank you to every guest for spending your precious time joining in on our playful journey!

And a special thank you to all our listeners who have been with us each episode, patiently tuning in despite our many rough edges. Your support means the world to us.

Thanks also to everyone who shared ideas and gave us feedback. This show has continued because of the energy we draw from you. You’ve shown us that if you truly want to accomplish something, the world will lend a hand.

Our second season is in the works, and we’re listening to all the feedback to become your best “pocket friend.”

    Endless thanks!

Is it time for doomsday preparation?
    2024/11/21

How far are we from the apocalypse? How close is disaster? In this episode, our guest Danielle, a trained professional in disaster preparedness, shares some everyday tips for disaster prevention. New guest Dean talks about the supplies he prepared as an apocalypse survival enthusiast. Mark, as someone who thinks ahead, helps us analyze the significance of being prepared. While preparing for the end of the world may sound irrational, these preparations truly find their meaning when a disaster strikes! As the Chinese saying goes, "Without long-term planning, there will surely be immediate worries." In this regard, we really don't have much cultural difference.

  • AI能不能把我打造为大网红?-Can AI make me a big influencer?
    2024/11/21

In this episode, we’re joined by Frank, who, despite his young age, is already a seasoned professional in the online industry. He helps us understand a range of new concepts, like the idea of a “scandal-proof” Vtuber and how to provide users with a highly personalized experience. Frank shares how creators can become their own creative team, using AI to produce copyright-free music, visuals, and more. From the ins and outs of SEO (search engine optimization) to AI editing, he guides us through the roadmap to becoming an influencer, offering practical, step-by-step advice. (Yes, you heard that right!)

At the same time, Frank tackles a common dilemma for content creators: whether to cater to trends or stay true to themselves. He explains how, with the smart use of AI, this tension can be managed and even reconciled. As we recorded this episode, we also captured our thoughts on a big question: “What will social media look like in five years?” Who knows? Maybe one of us will turn out to be a true prophet.

Human self-reflection is much like peeling an onion—layer by layer, and often tears begin to flow before reaching the core. Those who grow up in relatively complex family relationships often carry a tint of sadness within them. In this episode, Misha opens up, sharing the confusion he faced during his upbringing. However, it is precisely these struggles that pushed him to take brave steps, one after another, toward healing himself.

My ability to empathize is naturally stronger than others!
    2024/11/01

In this episode, we are joined by the renowned English streamer JUJU, who was once nicknamed "Crying Warrior" by Linsey—she sheds the most tears and helps the most people. In this episode, JUJU opens up and shares her understanding of empathy. Empathy is a skill, but it doesn't seem to be suitable for all situations. In the workplace, too much empathy can sometimes make things even harder to manage. Learning how to use empathy wisely seems to have become a must-learn lesson for modern humans.
