Music or sound used that we don't own and are appreciative to not be sued over:
- "The Middle" by Jimmy Eat World
- An explanation of "sagging middle syndrome" from Jenna Moreci's YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@JennaMoreci) is extracted from a video titled "How to Combat Sagging Middle Syndrome in Your Writing" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Gt61PWmhTc). The erasure of references to actual books and readers (in order to make it broader to apply to the uncooked middle of musical enterprises) is our own.
Josh and Nick were best friends in high school and helped each other through the difficult times as sensitive boys amidst chaos. They were also big fans of dark and loud music, including albums created by people who were monsters in real life. Nick now lives in California, Josh in Georgia, but they reconnected recently to talk about what the heck they were thinking 25 years ago and how it shaped them. This is not nostalgia.
