  • An episode re-watch with a slew of birthday flashbacks is always worth it. Once we address the enormous elephant in the room that is Rachel's May birthday not tracking with this Feburary episode, we move on to the rest of our general wondering-ments. A formal birthday party inside an apartment that, we presume, isn't taking place until after 11pm feels a bit off, right? An entire MILE on a hippity-hop? We don't buy it. Just a tad more effort into character styling for the flashbacks would have been appreciated.

    It's Rachel's 30th birthday. While she's wallowing in the fact that she's not anywhere near where she'd thought she'd be by this age, the rest of the friends remember their 30th birthdays. Phoebe aims to complete her birthday bucket list by reconciling with her sister and, instead, she finds out that she's actually 31. Monica shows up to her surprise party drunk and isn't subtle about it. Ross buys a sports car but can't even get it out of the parking spot.
