あらすじ・解説
Isn't it frustrating when you can't hear someone speaking to you in a crowded place so you have to try and lip-read? Imagine experiencing this every day.
Today, Nic and Kally are joined by BPG's Simon Myers and Scott Saunders to continue the conversation on disability with a focus on deafness. Scott is drawing upon his personal experiences of being non-disabled with a deaf son, including how he was diagnosed, the concerns and special moments they've had, and how he and his family have adapted their lives to support him. Simon is sharing his experience of growing up being fully abled with deaf parents, how his childhood differed from others, the responsibilities he had as a child due to the lack of support available, and how his parents' disability hasn't held them back.
If you want to understand the lives of people with deafness, how it impacts families and what people can do in and out of the workplace to make the daily activities of people with deafness easier, then you won't want to miss this episode.
