Tomi, a nine-year-old fourth grader, are making a significant impact on communities in Kenya through their Faith Kenya Mission. Tomi shares her passion for literacy, inspired by a moving encounter with a young girl in Kenya, which led her to collect thousands of books for children in need. Faith, originally from Kenya, discusses her motivation to improve literacy rates and how the mission is empowering communities by providing access to books and education. Together, they discuss the importance of education, community involvement, and addressing issues like gun violence in schools. Faith Kiio & Tomi Dobbs are the Faith Kenya Mission America and Kenya Literacy Partnership Initiative in Lawrence, Massachusetts. They provide resources and aid to struggling communities in Kenya and local communities in Massachusetts, including Billerica, Chelsea, Dorchester, and Lawrence.
