Episode 4.
This episode of UNMUTE looks at scene four of the audio drama. Hailey tells Addi about the violence going on at home and Addi promises not to tell anyone. Fraught with anxiety, Addi tells her father, Jay who is quick to dismiss this allegation, creating a rift between him and his daughter.
What would have happened if Addi hadn't promised to keep the violence a secret and encouraged Hailey to talk to an adult? What would have happened if Jay believed Addi right away and reached out to a support line for the next steps? Find out in this episode as social worker, applied theatre creator and host of the show, Kimberlee Walker, discusses alternatives our characters could have taken with Women's Crisis Service of Waterloo Region staff members Trish Sabourin and Jenna Mayne.
