  • X-Men ’97 is the sequel series to the original X-Men: The Animated Series that aired from 1992 to 1996. Lenore Zann was Rogue in the original show and reprised the role for the new show. Rogue has a major character arc, and Zann has received worldwide praise for her performance.


    Zann is a former member of Canada’s Parliament, having served four term and recently completed her final term. She first appeared on Episode 179 which was at the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic. As a member of Parliament, that episode spent a huge amount of time on Covid-19. She also discussed her upbringing and playing Rogue in the original series.


    In this episode, she talks openly about how she got the role of Rogue again. She talks about the key plot points (SPOILERS) and how she felt about her performance. She also announced that recording for Season 3 of X-Men ’97 was beginning while Season 2 has not aired yet.


    Zann has written a book, entitled “A Rogue’s Tale,” and discussed how that came about.
