  • This week Vicky beamed in all the way from Wales to chat with me about weird rules and gatekeep-y myths within the witchcraft community! We chatted about mistakes we made in the past when we were first learning about witchcraft and harmful practices we are eager to help others unlearn. We delved into Vicky's practices and connection with Aphrodite, how to begin working with her, signs that she wants to work with you, and how to maintain a witchcraft practice with a chronic illness! ABOUT VICKY: Vicky (they/she) AKA The Aphrodisian Witch is a Priestess of Aphrodite, a queer disabled witch, a radically authentic and no bullshit astrologer and magical mentor. They have been carving out their own weird and wonderful magic path for the last decade, and more recently have been helping and supporting other badass witches disrupt systems and norms and work towards more authentic, intuitively led magical practices. Their work includes unlearning internalised ableist patterns within our craft, decoding the cosmos with their clients & students, and generally reminding folks there are literally no rules when it comes to witchcraft.
