Edward evaded security for days at a time, rummaging through rooms, pocketing keepsakes, and even sneaking into the Queen’s private chambers (a scandal, I say!). His antics embarrassed the British government so much that they started operating outside the law to “deal” with him—leaving behind a story that’s equal parts absurd and entertaining.
