Today, I share my experience of moving my mother out of her lifelong home due to dementia and memory loss, and as you’ll hear, I’ve learned a lot about the emotional challenges of caring for a loved one that I thought may be helpful for any of your that are going through something similar with your loved ones. In this episode, I highlight the transition that will occur when that person is moving into a new living arrangement, while talking about the importance of providing support for your loved one throughout the process. I also look at the need to maintain emotional well-being, both for yourself and the other person, while creating new memories and building a supportive environment together.
