A Soul Sister Speaks Out: Katie

  • サマリー

  • In today's Soul Sisters episode I talk to Katie Roberts who highlights another form of domestic abuse that is talked about less often. Katie bravely shares her journey of abuse from a close friend, the impact it had on her life and what steps she took to ensure the abuse ended and that recovery took place. We deeply appreciate Katie sharing her story to help others.

    About Katie:
Katie Roberts is an Essex girl who’s been living and working in the North for 12 years. A former journalist, she’s found a new career in arts marketing and is now working at Your Trust in Rochdale. Her free time is dedicated to her cat, Trevor, going to gigs and festivals, eating vegan junk food, walking on the moors, following West Ham United and generally refusing to grow old gracefully.

    Asma Begum
Asma is the Founder of the charity Soul Sisters: Empowering People, set up to empower people and their children who have been affected by domestic abuse to live independent lives free from fear and abuse.

Established to create a positively supportive pathway and group for healing and thriving, via providing advocacy / sign posting of key information / support and mentorship / 121 and group sessions / development via The Way Forward programme.
