A Woman's Resilience at a Crossroads with Kate Delmo

  • サマリー

  • I interview Kate Delmo, an academic and senior lecturer at the University of Technology in Sydney.  I interview her about her views on resilience, and how she defines it.  She talks about what her struggles are both at home and at work, and how she balances them all.  We chat about introspection and internalisation on what needs to be done better, and how we should all take ownership of our decisions and life choices, and how resilience has changed her life in more ways than one.  Don't miss this episode!

    Tune in for:

    • how she defines resilience and balance between home and work
    • how she found resilience in struggles
    • why it is important to own our decisions and choices in life
    • how strength and resilience changed her life
    • who else / which other strong women she looks up to

    ABOUT ANNA

Hello! I am Anna, a poet, writer and storyteller. For years, I have struggled with depression before I finally realised that I am enough, valued, and loved. While battling with depression and going through hoops in my search for self-confidence, I finally found the love of writing.  Journalling my thoughts, emotions and experiences in my first-ever self-published book has been a wonderful and fulfilling journey. I had such a low self-esteem before I eventually found the courage to write about my thoughts, feelings, and experiences in this collection of poems and short stories. Then, magic happened. I worked out and finally understood that I am not alone in this world, and that my story is worth sharing with all who might be feeling the same way. This collection of poems and short stories has brought me a beautiful gift of rebirth and a new leash on life. It dawned on me that my healing was a gift I owed to my self. I found self-worth.  I found love.  I found joy.  I found myself as whole again. Through my journey, I have become an advocate for meaningful conversations.  I am starting a podcast, and I would love to talk to you, and talk about how it is so important for our souls and spirits to thrive, and not just survive. We all deserve to be happy - to shine and to sparkle!
