As a Black father and creative professional, Umberto is honored to be involved in the 'Seeds' project, which empowers Black fathers and father figures to become positive role models and change-makers in their families and communities. As the videographer for the documentary and photographer for the art installation, he had the privilege of capturing the stories and experiences of Black fathers and their families. Through the lens, Umberto has witnessed the impact of this project firsthand - and the sense of community and belonging that comes with being seen and heard. The art installation, which also had the privilege of curating, is a testament to the creativity, resilience, and beauty of Black fathers and their families. This event is a celebration of the 'Seeds' project's mission and the power of Black fatherhood. It's a reminder that black fathers' stories matter, their voices deserve to be heard, and their presence is necessary in their families and communities.
