The kind that beats you up, attaches itself to your identity, and makes you want to quit is called condemning guilt. The kind that pulls out the best in you, knows you were made for more, and makes you better is the convicting guilt. And the kind of guilt that makes you believe your needs matter the least or maybe even not at all called the convincing guilt. So let’s break these down:

    I have seen tons and tons of instagram accounts claiming they have the secret recipe to the perfect routine or a peaceful day. But at it’s core, they are wildly specific. Workout for 60 minutes before journaling for 30 minutes all before you perform your 18 somatic exercises and then you will feel regulated! And the truth is, this MAY be beneficial to some people, but for a busy entrepreneur and mom with young kids… This just isn’t feasible. It’s a miracle if I am awake before my toddler is because chances are I’ve been awake multiple times with my newborn… but the thing is– I still feel peaceful and grounded every single day, and if life throws me a curveball I know how to recenter in 15 minutes or less and I am going to show you how you can do the same!

Like, of course you can have a balanced nervous system when your bank account is growing, your kids are behaving, your marriage is thriving, and your spiritual health is on fire. But the truth is… very seldom will you live in seasons where EVERYTHING is going smoothly. And even if things were going smoothly, if you are stuck in dysregulation… you will find things to feel overwhelmed about… we are going to talk about this and how stress is oftentimes happening on the inside (your internal state) than on the outside (what’s happening around you)..
