Presented by the University of North Carolina, American Adventure is a historical show of American characters throughout the history of this nation. It begins, "This nation is young yet, still new and unfinished. Still now, America is man's greatest adventure in time and space.
Similar in theme to American Trail, American Adventure is "a study of man in the new world, of his values and characteristics through the years, who he is, what he believes and lives by. It includes varied interesting stories such as the legend of Johnny Appleseed, African American soldiers during WWI, civil war stories, and about the man who got the idea to lay the Atlantic cable. Both educational and entertaining, American Adventure will have Yankees and Confederates alike waving their flag and sitting up straight to listen to these stories of our great country.
