  • Kings Island in Mason, Ohio
    2024/03/05

When you think of Kings Island, you think of the many roller coasters they have. 14 to be exact. Well, we talk about 2 of them. Believe it or not, roller coasters do not translate well in podcast form. But I highly recommend watching a video about the coasters at this park. What is fun to talk about is carousels. And Tomb Raider: The Ride.

So join us this week to hear about dark rides and blue ice cream. Or is it Smurfs ice cream? I'm still not sure what to call it, but I want to try it. So whether you learned about Kings Island from The Partridge Family or The Brady Bunch, revisit those memories as we take a walk around Kings Island.

  • Kennywood in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania

This park has been on our list to cover from day 1. But suddenly, Matt had a reason to bump it up on the recording schedule. What might this reason be? You'll have to listen to find out. Just know that Matt is not a pervert.

Take a road trip with us this week as we discuss Kennywood and its long history. Full of unique coasters and dark rides, we chose the attractions that we find most interesting. I'm curious how many little kids have been traumatized on Ghostwood Estate. I'm curious how many people read this.

Have you been to Kennywood? Share your stories with us! We'd love to hear what you think about this park.

  • Frontier City: A Six Flags Theme Park
    2024/02/13

Do you remember going to Disneyland when it first opened and wanting to build your own park after your visit? Well so does James Burge and that is exactly what he did. He was fascinated with Frontierland so when he returned to his hometown in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, he lead the Oklahoma Semi-Centennial Exposition which was a fair. After the fair ended, he bought all the props from the Boom Town exhibit and that was the beginning of Frontier City.

This is one of the best themed parks operated by Six Flags but the ride lineup isn't the best. Join us as we discuss equations, shapes, and numbers while also talking about the park. I'm curious, have you been there and made the singing lady's pants fall down on Quick Draw? Let us know!

  • Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park

We decided to go old school this week and visit a park that is about to celebrate its 100th year! Lake Winnie is in Rossville, Georgia. This amusement park sits right next to a lake and uses the water to their advantage by having the oldest operating mill chute ride slide right down into the lake water. Brandon's going to pass on the dirty water ride.

The park also has a Bill Tracy dark ride...kind of. It has seen a few changes but you know what hasn't changed? Their wooden roller coaster, Cannon Ball.

So join us this week if you have the case of the Tuesday's and we'll try to cheer you up!

  • Six Flags Great America
    2024/01/30

We're back at Great America! But this week, we are in Gurnee, Illinois, at the more successful Great America park that Marriott built. This park has an impressive 15 coasters which is tied for the forth most coaster in a single park! Unfortunately, we didn't have time to cover all 15 in detail. But we do name them all, so that has to count for something!

If you are still reading this, congratulations. Brandon was in the mood to quote a very old YouTube video throughout the episode so if you are confused by his responses to some of his answers, that is why. Not my chair, not my problem. That's what I always say.

  • California's Great America History
    2024/01/23

    Send us a text

Join us this week as we discuss the long and complicated history of California's Great America in Santa Clara, California. Starting as a park built and owned by Marriott, the park passed through many owners over the years and is currently a Cedar Fair park. But, Cedar Fair has sold the land and plans to officially close the park by 2033.

Some of the rides we discuss are Carousel Columbia, Gold Striker, Railblazer, and their 4D show, Mass Effect: New Earth. We highly recommend watching videos of these rides if you are unable to make it to the park before it closes.

Have you been to this park, or plan to go before it closes? Let us know!
