Utsav Kamboj curates content that helps budding architects and interior designers kickstart their career. And Archea is an educational platform that provides online courses for architectural students and architects to enhance their skills promising a successful career.     In this episode we have with us Architect & Professor Newton D'Souza who is presently an Associate Professor for the Department of Interior Architecture, at Florida International University in Miami.

    He's been part of our industry for more than 20 years & written numerous research papers, special issue journals and books which have been published widely on various platforms. He's also given various lectures across Universities, and has won various awards for his excellence in the academic side of Architecture. His most notable book is called "The Multi-Skilled Designer" which talks about the unique cognitive thought process of top architectural designers like Zaha Hadid, Daniel Libeskind, Peter Zumthor, and so on.

    He shares with us his journey into Architecture, his transition of pursuing his BArch in Bangalore to then pursuing his PhD in the states. We then talk about Design, the definition of "Design", cognitive design, decoding the thought process of an architect, how technology influences the world and a whole lot more.

    Gautam is a graduate from the University of New South Wales, where he did his masters in Construction Management. He has a global experience of over 20 years in the architecture and design industry. Apart from that he's passionate about cricket, a long-distance runner, fitness enthusiast, and an avid reader.

He established James Law Cybertecture in 2001 and they've gone on to complete projects of various scales, some of them being OPod Housing No. 1 which is an experimental, low cost, micro living housing unit to ease Hong Kong's affordable housing problems. The Capital in Mumbai, Cybertecture egg, Technosphere, Tower of India and many more awesome projects. The firm specializes in architecture, interior design, master planning, consulting, technology & industrial design. He has also launched the Cybertecture Academy that nurtures a new generation of designers from a young age.

    In this episode we have with us one of the Directors of Integrated Design Limited, Simon Gallagher.

    Simon is an architectural technologist and digital project manager. His experience includes implementing BIM and leading digital international project teams on large, complex infrastructure projects for transport, building and waste management facilities. He's also a Chartered Architectural Technologist (MCIAT) since September 2012, a professional member of the Hong Kong Institute of BIM, and a CIC Certified BIM Manager since February 2020.

    In this episode Simon talks about his experience as an architect from Hong Kong. He shares with us his transition between different roles and how he ended up being a director at his firm. Hailing from Hong Kong, he very briefly discusses about the pandemic as well as its impact on the future. He also talks about the housing problem in Hong Kong and how it can be solved.
