このコンテンツについて
This episode of 'Asthma with Experts' which is hosted by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA), is focussed on acute asthma in children. Dr Désirée Larenas-Linnemann, one of our international GINA Advocates shares her personal approach to management of children presenting with asthma flare-ups, and exacerbations/attacks. She is an Allergist, clinical immunologist and pediatrician with expertise in asthma, who works in a private practice in a hospital in Mexico city.
She shares her process of assessment, treatment, monitoring, deciding whether to admit someone via the hospital emergency department or to send them home. We also discuss her method for ensuring her patients are safely followed up after the attack has been managed.
This podcast is targeted mainly for doctors working in primary care, but it will also be helpful for doctors in paediatric secondary care who are not asthma specialists.
Please share this podcast with any colleagues who manage people with asthma and do write to us (info@ginasthma.org) to suggest any future topics you would find helpful. Also have a look at the summary and the full strategy documents online at www.ginasthma.org/reports.
