    Jeff Lang’s new concept album is a project of co-writing songs with some of his favourite artists such as John Butler, Liz Stringer, Don Walker, Kerri Simpson, Fred Leone, William Crighton, Suzannah Espie, Asin Khan Langa and Hat Fitz & Cara, with guest appearances from Bassekou Kouyate and Debashish Bhattacharya.

    Jeff Lang is a multi-award winning Australian guitarist, songwriter, vocalist and music producer. Lang plays various types of guitar, both slide and standard, as well as banjo, mandolin, cümbüş and drums. He has won 3 ARIA Awards (2012 Best Blues & Roots Album for Carried In Mind and 2012 Best World Music Album for Djan Djan and 2002 Best Blues & Roots Album for Rolling Through This World) from 10 ARIA Awards nominations. APRA Award for Best Television Theme for The Gods of Wheat Street, AIR Award Best Independent Blues & Roots Album for Chimeradour and Australia’s National Folk Recording Award from the National Film and Sound Archive.

    Jeff Lang is a popular headline artist with his national and international tours and at leading music festivals. He has had numerous television appearances. He is a prolific recording artist releasing 27 albums (17 Studio albums, 1 Soundtrack, 7 Live albums, 2 Compilation albums). He is also a music producer with his own studio producing for many other artists.

    The Sports formed in 1976 and had charting success with a number of their singles with “Who Listens to the Radio” which charted in the US Billboard Pop Singles Chart and still getting radio airplay on classic rock stations. They won TV Weeks King Of Pop Awards for “Most Popular New Group” in 1978. Their “Don’t Throw Stones” Gold album listed in the 100 Best Australian Albums book. In their debut EP as UK New Musical Express (NME) declared they as “Record of the Week”, and their records were released in Australia, the UK, USA and internationally. They toured Australia and the UK with Graham Parker & the Rumour. Their Sydney Opera House forecourt Concert had 100,000 people. Their four studio albums all charted.

    Andrew Pendlebury, guitar, vocals and songwriting was with The Sports from 1976 to 1981 and when they reformed in 1998. He won the ARIA Award for Best Adult Contemporary Album for his solo work “Don’t Hold Back That Feeling”. He has released 7 solo albums and 3 with the Mercurials and is recording and performs with Steve Pinkerton as Pinkerton & Pendlebury.

    The album sales are fund raising for the Australian Road Crew Association (ARCA), a not-for-profit company dedicated to helping ROADIES during hard times and serious illness through their welfare program. Many artists have generously given their permission for the release of the roadies desk tapes of their live performances that make up a diverse collection of some truly unique historical releases.
