    2022/08/24

Such is the journey of our guest for this episode, John Glenn Lee, current president of JCI Philippines, president of the Legaspi Tourism Council, and chairman of the Bicol Hotel Travel and Tours. He tried different ways to lead and better serve others through the years. His intentions evolved into leading with the best intentions, ensuring the continuity of projects and planning for the long term, not changing with every administration.

  • Becoming Aware That Peace Is Doable
    2022/08/11

Everyone wants peace. It has always been a cliche that everyone wishes for world peace. And wishing makes it seem that it is impossible to achieve.

But our guest for this episode shares with us that peace is doable. The first step is to become aware that it is possible.

Samira Gutoc is a Maranao activist, writer, and politician. She was a representative of the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Assembly for Women Sector during the time of Pres. Benigno Aquino III and a member of the Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC) during the time of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte.

With her early exposure to different nationalities at a young age and these government positions, she spreads the word that peace is doable by learning about each other. Filipinos should learn about each other first to attain peace. Think about how you care for a loved one. You try to get to know that person - what she loves and dislikes. If we try to achieve peace, we should open our minds to understand other people.

Listen to Ms. Samira Gutoc as she shares ways to become better by becoming aware that peace is indeed doable.

    2022/08/03

Have you ever met a person whose love for others and dedication to service can be seen and felt with the warmth of her smile? Her persona radiates in such an inspiring way that would also prompt you to do something not just for yourself but more so for others.

This is how people feel when they see Ms. Chaye Cabal-Revilla. She is the EVP, CFO, and Chief Sustainability Officer of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation. If you are a teacher, you probably will thank her for being the founding chair of Gabay Guro, one of the Philippines’ most significant advocacy programs since 2007. In addition, she was a TOYM awardee in 2013 and the incumbent president of the Ten Outstanding Young Men Foundation.

As her parents instilled in her the love and fear of the Lord, she grew up with the belief that as she is blessed, she has no right to complain and everything that she is as a human being is something given to her because the Lord needs her to change the lives of Filipinos for the better.

Listen to this latest episode as Ms. Chaye Cabal-Revilla shares with us how to become better by uplifting the lives of others.

  • Inspiring The Youth To Serve The Country & The World
    2022/06/15

Do you know what a vaccinologist is? How about a vaccinologist and social media educator rolled into one?

In this episode, we get to know Dr. Melvin Sanicas, MD, TOYM awardee for 2021, now based in Zurich, Switzerland. A global health thought leader with 55k followers on social media is also a TED educator who teaches people not just about the importance of vaccines but, more importantly, to avoid panicking with what they see on the news. As challenging as his scientific work is, his best moments are getting comments saying that someone converted into taking the vaccine because of what he said.

The pursuit of studying science in our country is quite expensive and limited. That is why Dr. Sanicas also encourages youth to take the same path as he did - study abroad since Covid-19 won’t be the last pandemic for sure. Filipinos are highly intelligent and talented, but opportunities seem scarce because we do not know about them. So tune in to this episode to understand how Dr. Sanicas was able to study abroad.

We are now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with the Covid-19 pandemic, thanks to scientists like Dr. Sanicas. May he inspire the youth to serve the country and the world and become better through the pursuit of scientific knowledge.

  • Our Patriotic Duty To Travel
    2022/06/01

After two years of being cooped up inside our homes, travel restrictions are slowly being lifted locally and internationally. Someone even coined a social media buzzword called revenge travel, not getting revenge on someone who has hurt you but taking revenge on the pandemic. But as Filipinos, we have a higher calling and higher reasons why we should go out and travel again, especially to local tourist destinations. And that is our patriotic duty.

Our exceptional guest, Atty Anthonette Velasco-Allones, CEO of the Tourism Promotions Board of the Department of Tourism, will further explain traveling as our patriotic duty. We can be local ambassadors by inviting our family and friends to go out and travel again. You don’t need to ride a plane or a ship to do that! Biking and motorcycle riding can be ways of traveling, too!

Tune in to this episode as we discuss the many benefits of traveling - benefits for yourself, the local communities, and our country. May this episode inspire you to travel, heal, learn, take care of yourself and the environment, and most of all, become better.
