In this episode of the Podcast of Champions hosts Ryan Abraham and David Woods are continuing their Big Ten season previews with Penn State and Iowa. First up Daniel Gallen from Lions247 joins the show to talk about what head coach James Franklin has planned for the 2024 college football season and if this Penn State program can finally get over the hump and make an appearance in the now expanded College Football Playoffs. We'll talk about some of the major changes to the roster, bringing in a pair of new coordinators and the progress of quarterback Drew Allar. Next we welcome in David Eickholt from HawkeyeInsider to talk about how head coach Kirk Ferentz plans to improve Iowa's offense that was one of the worst in FBS last season. The Hawkeyes have been exceptional on defense and special teams, but the limitations on offense have prevented Iowa from achieving anything beyond winning the Big Ten West. Even with divisions eliminated, Iowa's schedule is still very manageable and another appearance in the conference championship game is within reach if the offense can turn things around.
