Edward Saydee tallied a career-high 334 all-purpose yards, including 265 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, as Temple scored five second-half touchdowns, never punted and rolled to a 54-28 rout of USF Saturday for its first American Athletic Conference win of the season. After allowing 299 rushing yards in a loss to Tulsa last Friday, Temple will be tasked again with stopping the run when the Owls try to slow down Navy's triple-option offense Saturday in Annapolis. Adam DiMichele and John DiCarlo dissect what went wrong against Tulsa, outline how the Owls can win at Navy and answer several mailbag questions. Temple defensive end Layton Jordan, who is currently fourth in the nation with 4.5 sacks, talked to Adam DiMichele and John DiCarlo on this week's podcast to talk about his early success, the Owls' improving defense and what they will have to do to bounce back from last weekend's 16-14 loss to Rutgers and beat UMass this weekend.

Quarterback E.J. Warner replaced D'Wan Mathis in Temple's 30-14 win over Lafayette last Saturday, and Adam DiMichele talked about what he saw from the true freshman on his two touchdown passes and in his overall performance.

On the other side of the ball, Adam talked about the growth of redshirt junior outside linebacker Layton Jordan, a player Adam helped recruit out of McKeesport High School during his time as a Temple assistant. Jordan leads the Owls with 2.5 sacks and will be counted upon Saturday if Temple wants to beat a heavily-favored 2-0 Rutgers team.
