    2024/11/07

In this episode of Capital Hacking, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mike Neubauer, a remarkable individual with an inspiring journey from homelessness to becoming a firefighter and achieving financial freedom through real estate.

Mike shared his incredible story of moving to Maui with no money, no job, and no plan, driven solely by his dream to live in Hawaii. He recounted his experiences of being homeless on the beach and how he eventually became a firefighter, a role he held for ten years. During this time, he discovered the world of real estate investing, which ultimately led him to financial independence.

We delved into Mike's real estate journey, discussing how he started with house hacking and gradually built a portfolio of short-term rentals. He emphasized the importance of finding focus and prioritizing tasks, drawing parallels between firefighting and real estate investing. Mike also shared insights into the unique challenges and opportunities of investing in Hawaii's real estate market, where properties can be quite expensive.

Additionally, we explored Mike's new venture, "Our Family Invests," where he aims to educate others on real estate and personal development, alongside his wife, Caroline. Their partnership in both life and business is a testament to their shared vision and commitment to helping others achieve their dreams.

As we wrapped up the episode, Mike offered valuable advice for aspiring investors and highlighted the importance of following one's dreams, even when the path is uncertain. 2024/10/31

In this episode of Capital Hacking, we had the pleasure of welcoming Stanton Myerson, a renowned figure in the pawn industry and a close friend of mine for over 20 years. Stanton, known as the "Philly Pawn Boss," shared his fascinating journey and insights from running a pawn shop that has been in his family for generations.

We kicked off the conversation by diving into Stanton's unique upbringing in Chester, Pennsylvania, where he was influenced by a family legacy that dates back to the early 1900s. He dispelled common misconceptions about the pawn business, explaining that it primarily involves making loans on collateral, much like a bank does with mortgages, but with a wider range of items beyond real estate.

He shared stories about his successful ventures in the pawn industry, including high-value items like jewelry and collectibles, and how he has diversified into real estate and community service. 2024/10/24

In this inspiring episode of Capital Hacking, we had the privilege of interviewing Aaron Hale. Aaron Hale’s journey is one of unparalleled resilience and transformation. He served 14 years in both the Navy, as a chef to the Commander of the US 6th Fleet, and in the Army as a team leader in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD), one of the military’s most dangerous roles. After an IED explosion left him blind, Aaron defied expectations by becoming an EOD instructor, motivational speaker, mountain climber, white water kayaker, and marathon runner. Four years later, Aaron faced another life-altering challenge when bacterial meningitis took his hearing, rendering him completely deaf.

Undeterred, Aaron rose again. He now shares his story through speaking engagements, runs marathons, and co-manages a thriving chocolate company with his wife. He’s also a dedicated husband, father of three, a real estate investor, and the host of the Point of Impact podcast.
