It's not only a story of where we keep books, it’s also a story of gender, power, race and access to information. Before the age of technology and the internet, books represented knowledge, and knowledge is power. Keeping that power away from people has been a tool used by the ruling party since the dawn of time. Libraries are a physical link to that power struggle and help us tell the story.
