  • A point against the Hornets before the International Break! // Watford 1 - 1 Wigan Athletic // Episode Twenty-Three
    2023/03/19

Wigan Athletic traveled down to Vicarage Road to face Watford in the Sky Bet Championship and battled well to come away with a point in a game we could have won. We now enter the International Break and there is still a fight in the old dog! It is not over until it is over.

Shaun Maloney and Mal Brannigan have flown out to Bahrain to meet our Owner and Chairman to gain clarity on the ongoing wage and financial situation. Hopefully, we will know more this week and will be back to discuss this with our international players and how they are getting on.

  • A point against Coventry, a wage update, and a trip down south! // Watford v Wigan Athletic // Episode Twenty-Two
    2023/03/16

Wigan Athletic hosted Coventry City at the DW Stadium on Tuesday night and we secured a point late on thanks to a deflected Ryan Nyambe effort that canceled out a Victor Gyøkeres opener. The club has reportedly paid the non-playing staff, yet the players await their wages. Wigan are set for a points deduction but as of 6:30pm on Thursday Afternoon, this has not been implemented.

On Saturday, we travel down south to face Watford in the Sky Bet Championship. ____________________________________________
